Jonathan started to work on the Open Source eCos embedded RTOS when he joined Cygnus Solutions in 1996. Cygnus got eaten by Red Hat but they got confused about having an operating system that wasn't Linux, so they gave up on eCos, even though eCos was profitable and embedded Linux wasn't (which they then dropped quietly later). So Jonathan and most of the team started up eCosCentric to continue working on eCos, which is where he's been since 2002. From time to time he works on other Open Source projects, but mostly eCos, where he is one of the maintainers. He's not looking for work right now. Mail him at jifl@jifvik.org if you like, although it's heavily spam filtered.
